Published by The Daily Courier on May 24, 2026 - Prescott, Arizona - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother, Barbara Jeanne Whitney Perroncino. Barbara passed away peacefully in her home in Prescott, Arizona, surrounded by those who loved her, on May 1, 2026, at the age of 82. Barbara was born on May 4, 1943, in Portland, Maine. At age 11, she moved to Brooklyn, New York, where she eventually raised a family and worked in the retail industry. Upon her retirement, she moved to Prescott, Arizona, where she lived for 19 years. Barbara enjoyed life and being outdoors, working in the garden, reading and spending time with family and friends. She was a loving mother to her three children and will forever be loved and remembered by them. She is survived by her daughter, Jeannemarie and husband Richard, grandchildren Aubrey and husband Dan, Ariana, and Alexa, great-grandchildren Nadia and Aidan; son Anthony and wife Stacey, grandchildren Michael and Nicholas, daughter Melissa and husband Ron, grandchildren Madison and Liam. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Harrison B. Whitney and Agnes F. Whitney; and sister Bonnie. She is survived by her sister Frances and husband Marco; brother Chuck; and many nieces and nephews. As it was Barbara’s wishes to be cremated, a private memorial service will be held at a future date. Information provided by the funeral home.
