Published by Today's News-Herald on May 30, 2026 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Sharon L. Walker, 86 passed away @HRMC Sunday April 26, 2026. She was born April 13, 1940 in Long Beach, Ca. to a Navy family. They lived there for a few years, then received orders to Hawaii for 3 years, then received orders to Midway Islands; she loved it even though they had to share the Island with Thousands of Gooney birds. Mom made it back to the states and settled in Chula Vista, Ca. She finished Jr & High school. In 1958 was named Miss Chula Vista. In the summer, she worked at the San Diego Zoo. In 1959 enlisted in the United States Marines Corp., 1960 she was the Camp Pendleton Rodeo queen. At that time, she met her husband to be S/Sgt Robert Walker. They hit it off right away and were married a short time later in San Clemente. They were married 55 years until our fathers passing in 2015. They had 4 Children Cynthia Prather, Shannon (Dan) Hedding, Robert Walker, & Patrick Walker (Jeff Wing). Her parents were Robert & Helen Styles of Chula Vista, grandparents Morris & Bertha Statum of Norway and Chula Vista. Earl & Lil Styles of Chula Vista. Sister Susan Cash, Husband Don and son Kevin whom since passed. Brother Mike Styles of Imperial Beach, Ca. Niece Monica (Randy) Putland, children Slater and Chase of Imperial Beach, Ca. Grand Children Kevin Farbowich, Tamara (Brandon) Ropelato, Taylor Hedding and Ryan (Makailyn) Hedding. Great grandchildren Hailey, Hayden and Quentin Clark, Alice and Sylas Hedding. Great great grandchildren Meadow and Charles Clark. Our parents lived in Lake Havasu over 40 years; our mom was a life member of Marine Corps League in Havasu. We love our mom who is now reunited with our dad. We know you will be watching over all of us. Semper FI
