Published by Mohave Daily News Online from Jun. 3 to Jun. 4, 2026 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Delma Dalldorf Turgeon, age 97, a resident of Bullhead City, Arizona passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026. She was born on January 17, 1929 on a farm in Naper, Nebraska to Albert and Dorie Dalldorf. Delma had an older sister. Growing up, Delma's family moved a few times before settling down in Naper. As a child Delma was curious and always pushing the limits. She loved babysitting and realized then that she wanted to be a teacher to share her knowledge with children. After graduating from High School, Delma fulfilled her dream with a degree from Wayne State College in Secondary Education. Delma's first job was in Brunswick, Nebraska where she met her future husband, Will Turgeon. They had many happy years together including the adoption of their only child, Susan. Will and Delma were living in Bullhead City when Will passed away in 2008. Delma later met her beloved Norman Lykhen and they shared several memorable years together filled with love and laughter. Delma was a proud member of Bullhead City Elks, Moose, VFW and American Legion. Delma is survived by her partner for life, Norm Lykhen; a sister, Avis; daughter, Susan Bell; and grandson, Nick. There will be a celebration of Delma's life in the fall when many of her friends return for the winter.
