Riggins died March 9, 2026, after a life filled with family, friends, and professional achievement and community service. He was born in Laramie, Wyo., on Jan. 26, 1949, during a blizzrd. Although he often visited the family ranch in Wyoming, Jerry primarily grew up in Sierra Madre, Calif. He graduated from Pasadena High School and earned a degree in ecomomics from UCLA. Jerry spent most of his lengthy career in financial services with Merrill Lynch and Fidelity Investments as a stockbroker, manager and regional manager. His lifelong passion, however, was model railroading, including designing, building and running layouts. After moving to Wickenburg, he became involved with the Sigler Museum, the Wickenburg Rotary Club and the Webb Center for the Performing Arts, where he served as treasurer and later president of the board. Jerry will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Vicki Riggins; his sister, Lana Danta; his brother-and sister-in-law, Bob and Marijo Van Dyke; nieces Shelley and Benna (Susan); and nephew Michael.
