HOOPER, Helen Marvella

Helen "Marvella" Hooper passed away in Kingman at the hospital with her family by her side. Marvella was born on Dec. 5, 1928, in Tahoka, Texas, and was preceded in death by her husband, C.J. Hooper, and son Jimmy Hooper.

Marvella is survived by her sisters, Patty Coheob and Sandy Wilson; brother-in-law, Herbert Walls; children, Jerry Hooper, Ruby Kaenel, Patricia Lucero and Bill Hooper; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Marvella will be missed by all who knew her.

Marvella went to Texas Tech University and graduated as a nurse. She raised her five children in Bagdad, Ariz. She was an Eastern Star member and later she and C.J. retired in Kingman where she spent the rest of her life.

Marvella's services will be held at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave. Viewing on Tuesday, June 23, and the memorial service on Wednesday, June 24. Burial followed at Mountain View Cemetery, 1301 Stockton Hill Road.
