WHEELER, Col. Thomas R. (Ted)

Col. Thomas R. "Ted" Wheeler, Ret. U.S. Army, 86, of Scottsdale, died suddenly of age related causes while traveling through Nevada. 

He served 32 years in the U.S. Army. 

His wife of 63 years, Peggy; children, Tom, Diana and Bill Wheeler and granddaughter, Meghan Porter survive him. 

A visitation was held Tues. June 21 at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale, with a Rosary at 7pm. A Funeral Mass was held Wed. June 22 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 6261 N. Granite Reef Rd., Scottsdale. Interment will be at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.  Published in The Arizona Republic on 6/21/2005.
