The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, July 01, 2009 Marie Maxwell Willis passed away June 6, 2009, in San Clemente, Calif. She was born in Prescott, Ariz., on Aug. 7, 1919, to Clarence and Birdie (Bennett) Maxwell. Marie and Ken Willis were married in 1975 and settled in San Clemente where Ken established the Bank of San Clemente. Marie was an accomplished artist before macular degeneration limited her vision. She is survived by two stepdaughters, Mary and Patricia; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her cousins, Mary Lou Saunders of California and Betty Cline-Phares of Prescott; nephew Ron Best of Prescott; and Sharon Kimball of Pinetop. At Marie's request, there will be no services. Arrangements were made by Lesneski Funeral Home in San Clemente, Calif. Information provided by survivors.
