BENKENDORF, Steve David (Benky)

Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Saturday, June 27, 2009 Steve "Benky" David Benkendorf, 58, of Cottonwood passed away June 15, 2009. Steve was born March 19, 1951 in Wishek, North Dakota, to the late David and Ella (Diede) Benkendorf. Steve enjoyed helping others with yard work or home repair projects. He also enjoyed wood cutting and the demolition derby. He drank every drop of happiness until they covered him up. He lived, he laughed, and he loved. He had a fun loving attitude. He was a guy's guy. He loved to have a good time and if there wasn't one happening, he would make one happen. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn "Jo" Benkendorf; his son, Matthew Benkendorf; his sisters, Mary Ann Weinberger (Bill) of Turtle Lake, North Dakota and Mary Alice Hall of Fargo, North Dakota; his brother, Delmar Benkendorf (Stephanie) of Loveland, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial celebration of life was held Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Riverfront Park in Cottonwood, Arizona. Please share your condolences at www.BuelerFamilyFuneralHome.com.
