Dorothy E. Stalo Born in Detroit, Michigan on April 11, 1926. Departed on May 7, 2004 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Dorothy E. Stalo, 78, of Cottonwood died May 7. She was born April 11, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan. She was a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She had worked as a teacher in California and Michigan and was known in this area as a teacher for the Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District and taught in the West Sedona Elementary School. She enjoyed reading and loved children. Mrs. Stalo leaves her husband of 54 years, Clyde H. Stalo; son, Kim J. Stalo, Phoenix and three grandchildren. A memorial service was held on Friday May 7 in the Westcott Funeral Home. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer`Society, 2724 E. Lakin, Suite 9, Flagstaff, Ariz., 86004 or to the Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwo, Ariz., 86326. Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood and Camp Verde, Arizona.
