Coya Renee Burnett Born in Cottonwood on Sept. 8, 1983. Departed on Jan. 26, 2003 and resided in Clarkdale, Arizona. Coya Renee Burnett, 19, of Clarkdale died January 26 in Rocky Point, Mexico as a result of an accident. She was born September 8, 1983 in Cottonwood, the daughter of Steve and Nanci (Vergara) Burnett. She was a graduate of Heritage Academy and was attending the Cottonwood campus of Yavapai College. A member of the Cottonwood Seventh-day Adventist Church, she had worked as a counselor at the Arizona Adventist Youth Camp. Besides her parents of Clarkdale, she leaves a sister, Chanel Capri Burnett; brother Steven Tucker Burnett; grandparents Eddie and Ricci Vergara and Mike and Nancy Burnett. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30 in the Westcott Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 31 in the Cottonwood Seventh-day Adventist Church at 4 p.m. Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood and Camp Verde, Arizona.
