Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood, Arizona Lillian Louise DuFresne Lowell of Cottonwood, passed away March, 17, 2012 at home with her family. Lillian was born Dec 19, 1924 in Detroit Michigan to Joseph and Louise Moray. She Married Joseph DuFresne in 1943 in Detroit Michigan and they were married 30 years until his passing in 1973. She married Marlin "Barney" Lowell while living in Lake Montezuma in 1975 and they were married 34 years until his passing in 2009. Lillian was an avid quilter having made hundreds of beautiful quilts throughout her life as well as an avid artist. She served as a former secretary/treasurer of the Montezuma Rimrock Volunteer Fire Department as well as volunteering with the Beaver Creek School Library and the Lake Montezuma Women's Civic Club. One of Lillian's most enjoyable moments of her life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling throughout Mexico and the USA. Lillian is survived by her 3 sons Michael DuFresne of Phoenix, Jim DuFresne of Rimrock , Patrick (Karen) DuFresne of Rimrock and Jerry Lowell of Chicago, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many loving and caring friends. A celebration of Lillian's life will be held Saturday March 24 at 1PM at Gracious Granny's 1420 Bates Rd Cottonwood. In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to Hospice Compassus, Sedona.
