| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, June 08, 2016 Richard Bentley Parran, 88, of Oakmont, Pa., died Friday, June 3, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Barker Parran; loving father of Richard B. Parran Jr. (Leslie) and John C. Parran (Susie); stepfather of Linda Lee Pretty (John), Reed C. Peters II and Samuel S. Peters (Paula); brother of Theodore V. Parran; grandfather to Sandra V. Pertz (Ryan), Katherine K. Marks (Kyle), Richard B. Parran III, Jessica L. Parran and David B. Parran Jr.; step-grandfather of Jessica Lee Pretty, William R. Peters and Emily Peters; great-grandfather of Rory B. Pertz and Theodore J. Marks; also survived by his daughter-in-law, Cindy R. Parran. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Veolante B. Parran; his son, David B. Parran; and brothers, Thomas Parran Jr. and Benjamin Parran. Mr. Parran was a graduate of Haverford College and received his MBA from Harvard. He retired as Vice President of Human Resources for PPG, and was a valuable member of numerous volunteer boards in Pittsburgh and Wickenburg. Funeral service and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the English Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Memorial contributions may be made to Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts, 2001 W.
