The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, June 08, 2016 Richard Bentley Parran, 88, of Oakmont, Pa., died Friday, June 3, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Barker Parran; loving father of Richard B. Parran Jr. (Leslie) and John C. Parran (Susie); stepfather of Linda Lee Pretty (John), Reed C. Peters II and Samuel S. Peters (Paula); brother of Theodore V. Parran; grandfather to Sandra V. Pertz (Ryan), Katherine K. Marks (Kyle), Richard B. Parran III, Jessica L. Parran and David B. Parran Jr.; step-grandfather of Jessica Lee Pretty, William R. Peters and Emily Peters; great-grandfather of Rory B. Pertz and Theodore J. Marks; also survived by his daughter-in-law, Cindy R. Parran. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Veolante B. Parran; his son, David B. Parran; and brothers, Thomas Parran Jr. and Benjamin Parran. Mr. Parran was a graduate of Haverford College and received his MBA from Harvard. He retired as Vice President of Human Resources for PPG, and was a valuable member of numerous volunteer boards in Pittsburgh and Wickenburg. Funeral service and interment will be private.
