Ruth Elaine Sanders
Sept. 19,1935 - Aug. 30, 2022

Ruth "Elaine" Sanders passed into the arms of Jesus on Aug. 30, 2022. She was born on Sept. 19, 1935 in Tioga, La. to Lois and John Myers.

She met her husband, Robert "Bob" Glenn Sanders, at Northwestern State College in 1953. They married on Feb. 4, 1955. They were married 64 years, until his passing in 2019. Bob served two years in the US Army before moving to Wickenburg where they settled and raised four children.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents Lois and John Myers, sister, RoAnne Baillio and her son, Robert Myers Sanders. She is survived by three children: Karan Elaine Hoskin (Harvey), Jon Everett Sanders(Cathy), and Keith Alan Sanders (Linnae), 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Elaine was active in her church and raised her children to love the Lord. She was a homemaker, an avid reader, enjoyed knitting, crocheting and games with friends and family. She was 'Nanny' to her grandchildren and when she was coming to visit, the dominoes came out. All her grandchildren have wonderful memories of their time spent playing with her. Elaine fiercely loved her family and was proud of each and every one of them. She was intentional in spending time with all of her grandkids and had a special 'Something' with each and every one. She leaves behind a legacy of love, and we know she will be a guardian angel to us all.

Funeral arrangements will be held Saturday, Sept. 24 at Wickenburg Christian Academy cafeteria at 11 a.m. (Mosaic Church) at 260 W. Yavapai St. in Wickenburg
