The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, June 02, 2009 Janice Boyd, 76, of Prescott, Ariz., born Sept. 16, 1932, in Jayton, Texas, passed away June 1, 2009, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements. ~~~~~~~~~ Thursday, June 04, 2009 Janice Boyd passed away on June 1, 2009, in Prescott, Ariz. Janice was born in Jayton, Texas, Sept. 16, 1932. She met her husband Dean (Buddy) Boyd while he was attending Texas A&M (Class of 1950). They enjoyed living and working in many locations during their 58 years of marriage. Their business interests took them to Texas, Louisiana, California, Oklahoma, Hawaii, New Jersey, and Japan, as well as an assignment with the Army in Germany. Jan was also a junior high school teacher in Texas. Jan and Dean moved to Prescott in March 1988 and established a sales and marketing business operating in most of the western United States until they retired in early 2007. She was also a director of the Kingswood Owners Association in its early years. Appropriate private services will be planned at a future date in Texas near her son and daughter-in-law, Dean Boyd Jr. and Kriss Hope Boyd. Janice is also survived by her brother and his wife, Tom Lane and Katherine (Kay) Jones of North Carolina. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.
